Thoms Bros. Landscaping, Inc. is carefully monitoring recommendations made at the local, state and national level regarding restrictions and best practices for stemming the spread of COVID-19. We place the health and well-being of our community at the forefront of our operations.
As of March 14, Michigan Governor Whitmer urged all non-essential businesses to close for 14 days to help stop the spread of this disease. Agriculture, which includes landscape and nursery operations, and construction are not part of this restriction, but we are taking steps to do our part in flattening the curve.
It is our intent to continue site and office operations at this time. Contact between team members and clients has been very limited since these recommendations. We are utilizing electronic communication and file sharing to its fullest. Consistent with recommendations from the CDC, we are practicing social distancing by offering plan presentations and client meetings via video conferencing and in other technical facets. On site, all interpersonal contact is outdoors, keeping six feet apart and abstinence from physical handshakes.
Many vendors, suppliers and other partners are taking similar precautions and we applaud the commitment of our industry to keep safe while keeping business moving forward.
We will continue to monitor and update our policies and procedures as the situation evolves.
