This course teaches MSV installers installation guidelines, material and system component properties, surface preparation, proper installation and specific detailing. This course is a two-day, in person course locally sponsored by ICPI-NCMA members.
The Certified MSV Installer (MSV-I) Program is available to each candidate who completes the course, and passes the written and performance examination. The ICPI-NCMA Manufactured Stone Veneer (MSV) Installer Certification Program is brand new and designed for those who want to learn how to properly install MSV in any construction project. This program is intended to provide valuable information and guidance on installation best practices for manufactured stone veneer systems to ensure quality and long-term performance. This program is two days and includes a hands-on component for attendees.
Certification enhances an individual’s knowledge and professionalism. Mitchell is also certified in Landscape Industry Exterior Technician (LIC-ET) by the National Association of Landscape Professionals, SRW Installer (CSRWI) by the National Concrete Masonry Association, and Certified Concrete Paver (CCPI) Installer by the Interlocking Concrete Institute. Mitchell has been with Thoms Bros. since 2008 and is the senior project manager.
