International Gardens

Historians are unsure precisely when the first ornamental gardens were planted, but most agree that the Chinese and the Romans were among the first to perfect the idea, probably more than 2,500 years ago.  Ever since then, ornamental gardening has flourished throughout the world, especially during periods of prosperity.  Each country has put its own unique stamp on garden design.  Today, we often identify distinct garden styles as being typical of a nation or a period in a particular nation’s history.  Each reflects the climate, topography, and culture of that country, and often emotional, spiritual, and political values as well.

Designing and installing this line of landscape artistry requires an extensive educational background and understanding of landscape architecture, horticulture, design, and history.  As artists, we have a true passion and appreciation for these subjects, and our hunger for knowledge has continually been fed through seminars, books, and traveling.
